This interactive 4D visualization has been produced as part of the following research paper: “Cosmicflows-3: Cosmography of the Local Void” by R. Brent Tully, Daniel Pomarède, Romain Graziani, Hélène M. Courtois, Yehuda Hoffman, and Edward J. Shaya, The Astrophysical Journal 880 (2019) 24 https://doi.org/10.3847/1538-4357/ab2597 Preprint: https://arxiv.org/abs/1905.08329 IfA Press Release: http://www.ifa.hawaii.edu/info/press-releases/local_void/

This is the interactive version of the Figure 3 of the article, where orbits of galaxies, groups of galaxies, and clusters of galaxies, derived from the Numerical Action Method, are superimposed on the Local Void iso-density contours. The signpost anchored at the present Milky Way location has 5,000 km/s-long arrows pointing to the SGX (red), SGY (green), SGZ (blue) directions of the Supergalactic Coordinate System.

A video visualization has also been produced as part of this publication and is available here: https://vimeo.com/326346346

And anyone knows if there is a black mass, or not, into that focal point?

@Yves.Marineau The orbits are shown in a reference frame that removes the overall expansion of the universe. What we are seeing are the deviations from cosmic expansion caused by the interactions of local sources of gravity.

Strange to see a concentration instead of expansion!

You are sure there are no data mistakes?
